3.5se vs. se-r

im looking at the 05 3.5 or se-r, is the se-r worth the extra money for just 10 more hp, either way it will be a manual but i want the 3.5 but i dont want a max

I believe besides 10hp over the SE, the SE-R package gives you black tail lights(to match the headlights) Forged 18" wheels, stickier tires, bigger brakes, stiffer suspension, unique gages, 6speed M/T, and HLSD.

Not worth it in my opinion. You can use that extra cash you would've spent on the SE-R to make the SE much faster and look better...

I think the SE-R hits peak torque 800-1000 RPM before the SE. I don't remember the exact numbers, but it sounds to me like the SE-R's geared more for acceleration than the SE.

Yes, but the SE-R is also heavier than the SE...

weight difference isnt by much ...

SE - 3,227SE-R - 3279

(these are the 6 spd numbers) about 52 lbs ... automatic is about 90-100 lbs heavier ...
