so early today I was driving behind my fiance (she was driving my car) and I thought it sounded really nice. so later on I decided to record a vid of my exhaust. so here is the first vid wtih revs, fly by's, etc.

and here is the 2nd video. 2nd video I was driving through her neighborhood and was NOT speeding or driving reckless... just wanted to make that clear..... I was playing with manual mode so its louder then just regular cruising

thanks! :bigthumb: I'm really happy with the way it sounds BUT it does "drone" really bad on the hwy. supposedly that's supposed to clear up with a Y-pipe and also make it a little louder with more crackles when you let off the gas. so I plan to buy a Y-pipe in the future..... your car looks sick with the coils

lol ya I still havent fixed the tips yet. I've been lagging on it but I'll get the tips straighten and the 2 fins back on the rear diffuser and paint the rear diffuser gloss black probably next month. after the cat I have a 2.5" pipe to a magnaflow muffler.

Hey Hussain,

How loud is it inside the car? I can't really tell from the video because I'm at work and inside a datacenter (it's like standing next to a jet haha) I just had mine done, and they ran 2.5" piping from the CAT into a single glass pack, and then had a Y splitter and ran the pipes to the stock location. The reason I'm asking is because it's so frickin loud inside the car that I can't really talk to my passenger haha. I just want to know if it's quieter with an exhaust built for our cars (magnaflow, borla, nismo) instead of the custom job I had done. I love the sound though.

ya its really loud and REALLY ANNOYING. I've heard pretty much everyone who gets exhaust has that problem though.... except the stillen exhaust since its not any louder then stock lol but supposedly the solution to the problem is to buy a racingline Y-pipe. I havent gotten one yet so I cant say for sure but thats what I'm hearing. in the future I plan to get the Y-pipe and then sound deaden the car....... Tracy isnt too far away, you should come out to our next Nor Cal meet

that or the fact that their crooked lol I need to get them straightened and then add the fins on the diffuser and it'll look much better. it'll look like it came from the factory like that

I wouldn't bet on the Y-pipe fixing or reducing the drone. If anything, just like my previous exhaust experiments with my Sentra and now Coupe, removing a cat and replacing it with a piece of piping will increase inside drone/noise. It did the same with my Alti Coupe when I put the Y-pipe (more noisier, but not bad, since the car was pretty quiet to begin with using the ebay exhaust).

If you have lots of unbearable drone, I would highly recommend you have a 18" resonator put in, it should reduce the droning quite a bit, along with reducing over all loudness (if you don't mind that). My ebay exhaust came with a big fat resonator (24" long?) and without it I'm sure I'd be in hell noise city. Sometimes I wish though I could remove it, because the car's too quiet. ;)

Thanks for the info guys. Yeah right now it sounds like a frickin truck haha. I just haven't driven a vehicle with exhaust in a while, so maybe I just need to get used to it again. I'm going to be getting the y-pipe, just because of what people say it does for the performance. I know eliminating that 3rd resonator will free up some HP's. Oh well, I'm just stoked it doesn't sound like a ricer haha.

I took off my 3rd cat before and noticed a lot more power in the higher RPMs.... It pulled a lot harder. with the cat off it made my exhaust sound better and louder and it made the drone a little worse. the racingline Y-pipe makes the whole pipe out of larger diameter so there would be even more flow, making it even faster then just taking off the cat.
