3.5SE A/C VS Mistubishi Eclipse GSX

So I decided to stop by my friend's place after I've gotten out of work and saw him workin on his car. He saw me pull up and noticed my newly installed Greddy catback and asked me, "Hey wanna go for a run?" I thought to myself hmm would be kinda fun so we ended up drivin to this perfect highway that had a long strip of road before it hit a set of lights. We lined up going from a 40mph roll and did the traditional 3 beeps. *beep* beep* *beep* boom i slammed on the gas in 2nd gear vrooom 6500rpms, shift to 3rd, vroom 6500 again, shift to 4th and i left him way way back. So we line up again and he goes, "you got lucky, my turbo lagged." LOL what do you guys think of that?

Which GSX? The 2.0L turbo? I don't think that its putting down that much power stock, what mods does he have?

Since that was the only motor in the GSX, I imagine thats the one hes talking about Putting down around 210 stock, not a real shocker

Who needs wiki when you used to own one

He could have done a lot of things. There are a lot of popular upgrades to that 4G63T motor that yield 15-20hp gains apiece. Those motors are practically bullet proof, one of the strongest 4 cylinder motors I have ever seen. Mitsu hit a jackpot with this motor and been using it for near 20 years now from the first gst's, tsi's, and laser RS's to the EVO 10

Was his car an automatic? Or could just be that your friend doesn't know his car too well! Stock to Stock it should have been a pretty close race. Now when he starts to mod... get out of the way!!!

his GSX is somewhat modded, im not sure what exactly he has in it but all i know is that he has a turbo back exhaust or whatever you call it, new intake manifolds, front mount intercooler, boost gauges and all that. and all I have is the greddy TI-C catback, and no his car isnt auto its a 5spd manual.

he has a boost gauge? hmm, 5-7 HP gain...so idk....

sorry but the altima coupe is hitting 0-60 times of 5.8 seconds and 1/4 miles in the low 14's and a gsx does this in 7s and around 15-16s mind explaining how stock to stock thats a close race?? Sorry but if you throw mods that still makes no sense if you do the same mode the A/C I am sure will still be faster.

And the current eclipses are still slower then the A/C.
