3.5L starters all the same?

I need to replace the starter on my 01 QX4 and almost the interchange information says 01 starter through 11/00 and then a different starter from 12/00. I was under the impression all QX4 01-03 and Pathfinder 01-04 starters were the same?

This question is for the OEM starter.

Where are you seeing the interchange info that specifies date ranges? I just did some poking around online for starters and didn't see anything like that; they all specified the same starter for 01-04 :gotme
