has anyone had or known anyone with experience with these setups? i own an 03 3.5 SEw/ just under 70,000 mls and was looking up spicing up the performance. I just got the car from my sister who has recently moved (luck i know ) anyways..... looking towards alot of mods in the future. This is something i would like to start at because it will affect me spending money on other things ie intake, exhaust, headers ect. i plan on running low boost due to the fact it is going to be on stock internals. Also should i plan on a rebuild? thanks for the time!

Not a good idea at all to try to go forced induction at 70k miles. You're engine has degrated a good bit at this point. No need to grenade it

If you absolutley cannot live without a turbo kit, get one here: http://www.speedforceracing.co...o.php

lol i figured that would be one or more of the responses. I def agree with you. maybe down the road ill get another itch and just rebuilt it and turbo it. Have have been doing alot of reading up on multipl forums but there is only a few practicle choices ive seen. Undrive pulley, exhaust, CAI, headers, suspension, nitrous, and cams. They are all ++ and more than like going to be done. But anything in Engine Management that we can do? Im very pleased with the way my car performs already but u know how it is..... gotta feel more so what else??? btw thanks for the to reality lol

Whoops, sorry about that. Im not sure if it will bolt up to your exhaust or not. Depends on your flanges, whether its cat eliminating, etc. A lot of different aspects come into play for something like that.

+1 for boost

Start with the supporting modifications... regardless of what route you choose for power: suspension, wheels, exhaust, pulley, etc.

I would have just as much faith in a 70k mile VQ as I do in my 30k mile VQ (which is not much). Boost that **** if you have the time/money/patience.

Despite all of the troubles I've had since the turbo, I don't regret it.

Meh, I would plan on blowing a head gasket if you try to boost at 70k miles Bottom line, if you want your cars engine to last for a while, dont put forced induction on it

I'm a boost addict... In fact this probably the longest I've kept a car without putting an after market kit on of some kind.

Do some searching in the 350Z section. There's a lot of boosted VQ's over there and most will recommend you not boost unless you have every intention on building the block. Everyone has to remember this is an N/A motor and was never intended to see the torque or power curve from a turbo or any kind of boost.

I want and probably will turbo my car in time but talk with people who have turbo'd their cars and put miles on them. Given enough driving they probably have a lot of horror stories if they're running a stock motor. Just be carefull with listening to what shops will tell you, most will be bios towards the kit... Not unusual to hear them say it'll run fine. Have them help you out with the bill when you burn the rings up or blow a head gasket.
