I know I saw it posted somewhere before, but I can't seem to find it through search. Does anyone know what diameter the inlet piping of the mufflers are on an 07 3.5 SE? I'd like to weld on two HKS Hi-Power mufflers onto the existing pipes but don't know if they're 2-1/4" or 2-1/2". Thanks in advance.

Any decent muffler shop will have a tube expander/reducer. With that said, it really wouldn't matter a lot if you're off on the diameter. As long as you're not going from 2 1/4" to 3 1/2". It can be done though with a little

Im interested in entertaining getting new mufflers.. but not dropping the $$ for a catback system... (im the baller on a budget lol)... Advisable? Or is a muffler swap just a bad idea?

oh no not N1's..... they are soooooooo loud

If i do any universals, it would probably be a Twin loop. Better sound, more power, no fart box.

If i do anything, i'd rather spend $7-800 on a high quality cat back that fits like factory, and sounds superb

Haha that last one that has the 'turbo blow off valve sound' is downright hilarious and straight rice.

Yeah, I really hate that "HIGH POWERED MOPED" sound that comes from those wannabe race car civics and integras.

I've always loved the sound of HKS exhausts, especially the one I ran on my SE-R. HKS exhaust + HKS intake = GREAT SOUND and performance. Unfortunately, they don't make one for the Altima's

The first exhaust system i put on my 2000 SI civic was an Apexi N1 cat back exhaust. With the silencer out, and at WOT, you'd SWEAR there was 20 cars behind me with NO mufflers It was straight up embarresing! Even with the silencer in it was god awful loud.

I wound up customizing my own dual exhaust. made a y pipe and used 2 universal N1 style cans. This made it nice and quiet (until you jumped on it) because the engine didn't have enough flow to make it loud! lol it was only 1.6 liters
