I was bored today and checked out Kelley Blue Book and the 3.5 Sedan and Coupe are on there now. Wow, my car is worth a lot less than i thought it would be...

I saw this a few days ago, seriously, WTF?

the fully loaded A/C with around 20k miles, excellent condition is worth only 21k

its worth what you want it to be worth. lots of people have been able to sell their cars for the price they bought it or more. lots as in a less than 1% of the population lol

It's all about haggling. Blue book sucks - Black book is what's used by more dealers and insurance companies.

It's a subscription only thing that dealers and insurance companies buy - it has more accurate valuations of used cars that the Blue Book, Edmunds, etc...

my car with 7k miles fully loaded only worth the low 20s i was thinking about trading it in but ill be losing like 10 grand

Of course the book values have dropped, the 2009 has arrived. A Car can depreciate about $5000 as soon as it leaves the dealership, and thats even with the Japanese cars that have low depreciation rates. If you want to see something funny check the same book value on a similar dosmestic.

People on this forum always talk about trading in their cars, after one year you are crazy to trade it in. If you want a new car every couple years, you should be leasing not purchasing.
