3.5 coupe vs v6 stang...

not that i can recall but i have beaten some 99-04 GT mustangs in the past. they got 260 HP with more torque..... the auto does 14.4 with a good driver and the stick does 13.9 with a good driver. don't the 05+ V6 mustangs do like 15's?

The 09's don't stand a chance unless its the cobra.

Some of the older ones would kill our 3.5s on a straight. Put in some curves and that'll be a different story.

My Girlfriend has a v6 mustang and my coupe absolutely destroys it I can even let her get her door even with my door and just blow it away and the thing is that there isnt a huge weight difference but in the hp department there is a huge difference. I have fun when we play with the cars but she isnt as happy to race as I am so go ahead and play with the v6 stangs they dont stand a chance.

the v6 mustang starts at 19,000. doesnt the v8 mustang start at 26,000 which is pretty much the same as the 3.5 coupe? I wonder who would win that race.

The new mustang V6's are heavy and slow - you can easily take a V6 in a 3.5. The V6 does a 7.0 sec+ 0-60...

The GT's are more of a driver race - the GT has the ability to do a near 5 sec 0-60, but that's all subjective to the driver and his ability.

there is no way in hell a stock 3.5se can take a stock 05+ GT mustang lol 300 HP with more torque then us. they do mid to upper 13's. only way your doing those kind of times in the 3.5se A/C is with a stripped interior, no muffler, headers, intake and a tune..... then you'll beat them. i did a 13.9 with no back seat, no spare tire, no tire jack, no muffler on a cold day at pretty much sea level.

V6 Mustangs get smoked by the V6 A/C. I'd take the 2.5 A/C over any Mustang other than the Cobra.

Marlin is completely correct in his statement and I agree 100% -- in fact I would go as far to also suggest that a 3.5 AC CVT would be a very good match for a 05+ Mustang GT. A regular v6 mustang would be SPANKED by a 3.5.

And always remember-- at the end of the day it's the driver and not the whp.

on the streets if you come across a bad driver then ya you could win but if you come across a good driver they'll win. i always race people and if i came across a 05+ GT that wanted to race, i'd race them but i have a feeling i'd lose. they wouldn't beat me like that fast *** (far from stock) 300zx did but they'd pull ahead lol

Well I got to say as an owner of both cars I think the GT takes the 3.5 no prob. This is all subject to the driver of both though (like any car). And actually I dont own a 3.5 or a stock GT so I guess I cant really do a direct comparison. This debate reminds me of the whole can a GT take on a Z06 threads on mustang forums. Truth is someone is always faster and you should just be happy with your car. I love both.Stock for now, but not long. Springs are in the garage.

After I pulled on one GT, he got up next to me in traffic and asked me, "3.5 eh?" I said, "Yeah, you thought it was a 2.5 huh?" He said, "I was hoping it was a 3.5. I wanted to see what it could do." My response was, "Obviously not the outcome you were hoping for." He started laughing and told me, "Okay smarty pants, See ya around!" Then he turned off.

I was very excited about that win. Plus the guy was cool. Not everyone is cool though. Especially the G35 guys who get their asses handed to them by my lil 3.5 ALTIMA! lol.

Its all good though.
