I thought it wouldnt give the altima the same sound as the Z but it didnt. Also, this guy said it fits perfectly, i thought the Z piping was opposite side from the altima?

It is on the opposite side. Unless you get the mid-pipe from the z also and fab it up where it connects to the cat.

If you have the y-pipe and add the exhaust it may somewhat replicate it however muted, unless the resonator was removed.

I'd be interested to see this.

I was going to do it for the winter. I wanted to save my borla from the winter and it was kinda loud, but instead installed a resonator.

So your saying i can take the ypipe and the muffler from the z and replicate the same sound? do i need to do any other modifications?

You would have to have an exhaust shop fab a piece to fit the axle back muffler. Its on the reverse side of where the mid-pipe connects, Either that or purchase the 350z mid section and have that fabbed to fit the front where it connects to the y-pipe.

Mine with a Borla/y-pipe. I'd imagine the 350z muffler is somewhere between this and stock altima with a Y-pipe, which would be fairly close and nice sound b/c it is certainly less restrictive than our stock exhaust.
