i got an intake for an xterra off ebay, then just changed the filter, deleted the heat shield(it doesn't fit), and added a mount to hold the intake up so it is not bouncing everywhere. the rubber tubing needed to be modified to reach the intake tube. i never thought it would work but today i was like screw it, lets see what happens. so far the intake is very nice. the intake is pretty much a knock off of the aem brute force but if you change the filter it does the same job as the aem.

How loud is it? Notice any difference?

I notice a little more power. when its colder it sounds louder but after a while it gets hot and it is not that loud. sounds great though. i might fabricate a custom heat shield or make it into a CAI, i have all these excess Honda accord intakes. ill post updates if anything happens.
