I'm trying to put a 2wd RB25 motor in a R32 GTS4. I see the aussie guys talking about some kind of adapter plate to make 2wd blocks (specificaly for RB30 into GTR conversions), but I haven't been able to find any info on these. Have you guys seen these anywhere out there on the interwebz?

Let me make sure I understand your question, your wondering if you can bolt an an rb25det to a (presumably) rb26dett trans?

You don't need an adapter to do that.

In regards to this conversion. Yes you do need an adapter to bolt a RB26 Pan properly to the 2WD blocks. (as in Transmission will bolt up, but the pan with the front diff will need some help)

I'm in the infant stages of getting an adapter drawn up. It'll be awhile till its market ready.

The 2wd sump holes are already there on a AWD block, so an adapter is not needed. I think you need to mod the pan itself though just to keep oil inside after you remove the axles.

I'm not goind that direction though. I want to make a 2wd block work in a 4wd car. Yes the transmission bolts up, I know, it the block bolting to the front sump with the axles and junk. Coolwhip is tracking with me.

Here's a thread on AU that I'm asking in. Might give some of you a better idea what I'm talking about. -------> http://www.skylinesaustralia.c....html

just swap over the 4wd sump to the rb25. and reuse your brackets and mounts.

There is more to it than that. The blocks are different.
