looked through the photos and the pipe i m speaking about is not shown. reason i cant remember how its installed is because the previous owner butchered the pipe doing a back yard fix. it was cut into 3 pieces! anyway, the pipe is actually made up of 2 pieces welded together. they are fairly thick in diameter. vac,no fluid. one connect to the
"Y" shape hose at the back of the intake.

Updated the slides with UP_015 through UP_020 to show hoses and pipes that are part of what I call the "plenum assembly."

I think I remember it being easier to connect the Y hose to the "vacuum tube to nowhere" if the IACV is disconnected from the plenum but still connected to the Y. If the IACV is disconnected, it lets the Y hose flex better to make that final connection.

Once the Y hose is connected and clamped to the "vacuum tube to nowhere" the IACV (with gasket) can be connected to the back of the plenum. Be careful not to damage the IACV gasket during reassembly.

I used a silicone based lubricant (grease) -- Super Lube (Ace Hardware) or Sil-Glyde (NAPA) to lubricate the hoses so the connections could slide together with minumal effort.
