Hello all,

I'm looking to replace my struts/shocks within the next month or so. What I'm seeking here is basically a parts list of things I may need. I'll be replacing the strut bearings on front. Should I be concerned with new strut mounts? Any other items I should pay attention to when replacing struts/shocks?

The car is a '97 with 131K miles.

P.S. n

I'm thinking of replacing some bushings also. Which ones usually need attention if not all.

Don't faint at the cost of the Q45t electronic front struts......a whole updated assembly is required.

DIY this job isn't then! Was there a recall? Is this the reason for the update? What's included in the assembly?

No recall, nothing wrong just a different method of combined parts..........can't use an insert like the non t does. Everything has to come off might as welll swap the bearings also at the same time............couple of real hours [each] for an expert think 4 billable hours plus parts each.

Did the electronic actuators on the FY33 t models appear before 1999? If so, the rear has them as well. Joe told me the front inserts were the same for the later (1999+ Q45 t and ae), but the rears were unique.

Hmm seems to me when i bought my front inserts the listing was for T and NON T models. You could call Scottsdale Infiniti and give them the VIN then you will know for sure. The inserts are like $110ea for the front and $2xx somthing for the rear(i havent bought them yet). One suggestion: have a very high quality pair of spring compressor...or better yet take them to a shop that has a wall mounted compressor:), the front springs are hella long! I about killed myself with those cheapo spring comp rental tool ones.
