Check out this 1991 rx-7 getting stuffed with a vq30de-k and a 6-speed 350z tranny!!!

That is a very odd combination. It'd be fun to race people in it. They'd be expecting a Wankel with no low end power, and then they'd be wondering why it was so far in front of them and how it was making such a deep exhaust note. Now if he would put the old Wankel in say, a Camaro, we'd have something truly odd. (Anyone remember Chevy's old Rotary powered 'Vette idea?)

why do that.... I would never put a piston engine in an RX-7... when I did the engine swap in my old RX-7, I was considering doing the V8 swap, but got back to thinking about the 50-50 weight ratio, and that awesome highrevving 13b.... but at least they picked a really good engine and tranny for the swap!

sweet setup - I love seeing the VQ go into anything (including CALSONIC's Skylines)

gives me hope for the turbo VQ35 swap I have wanted to do to so many cars (FD, S14, etc)
