After three trips to the service department, the problem was fixed today. The HVAC control head was replaced. It feels great to have cool AC and the heating still works too.Ontario Driver wrote:Hello. This is my first posting. We purchased a 2014 Rogue SV in January and like it - except that the heater/AC are not working properly. With the thermostat turned to cold, on an intermittent basis we get either partial or full heat regardless of whether the AC is turned on. On the highway, we have to select the recirculating air button, but on cool days the windows fog up. Have been driving around with the windows open. Dealer says it doesn't know what the problem is. Anyone else having this issue? Thanks.
You may want to call Nissan of McKinney (TX) as they fixed my 2014 Rogue with AC problems. It would cycle on and off at random, and then it would only blow cool air once in a while. It took them 2 weeks, but they finally got me fixed up.Ontario Driver wrote:Hello. This is my first posting. I currently have a 2014 Rogue SV (cloth interior w/ standard sound system), but previously had a 2011 Rogue SL (leather with Bose sound system). My current cloth interior is black, so I can't speak for the color, but I think it's very durable. I have a dog, and she rides in my car a lot. I don't think twice about her on the cloth. I didn't re-opt for the leather this time because I didn't like how cold leather is in the winter (I live in CO) and how long it takes for Nissan's heated seats to warm the leather up (I think they are sub-par seat heaters). I'm not sure if you could add additional after-market seat heaters to seats that already have heaters in them and didn't want to bother looking into it. Plus, I saved some $ on my monthly payment. That brings me to the sound system. Yes, the Bose system is nice, but the standard system is pretty decent, in my opinion. I'm in my car a lot, and I love my music, so I think I'm a pretty good judge here. In contrast, the Bose bass was so good in my old Rogue that my driver's side door and window rattled/hummed often which drove me absolutely nuts (as if Nissan didn't use *quite* good enough materials in the door to offset the Bose speakers). Just my $.02 here...NYCH wrote:Hi, I am very interested in the Rogue and new here so not sure where to ask some of my questions.
I was thinking about the SL model but I am not the biggest fan of leather, how is the beige cloth? Does it stain easily, and is it durable?
Also is the Bose sound system worth getting or is the stock one decent to? Thanks!

I'm real happy with the car handling, ride, MPG, & tech items. I've been driving it most of the time (will still use the Mo for long trips though) - but have had a couple issues.
The NAV system has shut down then rebooted by itself while traveling 3 times in 3k miles, dealer loaded a firmware update to clear that problem and it happened once again on the way back home from the patch install a few miles away. Guess they have to work further on the problem!
Another issue I have not seen on any forum is a "flapping" noise at high speed (60mph+) from the front inner wheel well fender panels - small panel on both right & left sides. Anyone had the same problem? Dealer says they have not heard a complaint from other owners and after a couple fasteners were re-installed(!), the panels are attached properly but the noise is still there. I taped the lower end of both to the car frame - the noise is gone. Don't know if my panels are exceptionally thin or what, but it looks so far like the dealer won't resolve the issue. (Velcro to the rescue!)
I'd be very interested to hear others with these (in my opinion fairly minor and should be easily resolved) issues.
