2nd Gen Murano -- how to access self diag mode

I recentaly had to reset the SES light due to the perverbial gas cap reaction. After much research I attempted to use the good ol accel method to get into the self diag mode to reset. NG. Ended up using a scan tool and reset at the local AZ store.

Quest -- is there a way to get into the self diag mode to reset ECU errors that get thrown ?? I am starting to think the answer is NO!

Car is 2010 MO LE/6K miles.

Love the car but curiosity is driving !!
