Hey guys... Considering buying a 2nd gen maxima. hear these are solid cars, just gotta do the timing belts and stuff like that... no biggie there..

Im looking at buying one with a bad clutch..... how hard is it to replace the clutch? is it DIY...? how much areparts...

I tried searching but i didnt find anything... interesting how when newbies say they search they never find anything... Probably indicates the quality of searching!!

so a 2nd gen that needs a clutch and most likely a timing belt for under $500, worth it?

Yea your border line on the price. Look it over good for other issues. @nd gen to clarify is 84 to 88. Its probably a weekend affair to do the clutch in it, some help from a freind will be rquired. T-belt is equally as fun to do on that car. Hope you have short tools
