third generation{2002-2005} sold less than the 2nd generation.fact is lexus has owned this segment of the market{ top jap sedans} since way,way back in the early 90`s.infiniti killed itself early with weird design{no wood or grill} and risky marketing-q45 is not even discussed in most buyers mind when shopping in the 55,000 plus market- MB,lexus, bmw get the test drives, and asses to fill the seats-how sad infiniti cant compete at this level.driverdriver wrote:The truth is the second gen Q sold very poorly up here compared to the first and 3rd gen Q. Some of it had to do with mid to late 90's rumors that Nissan would go out of business. Also, because Nissan dropped the interior analog clock on the second gen Q and made it less sporty, a lot of buyers didn't upgrade or switched to another manufacturer.
Yes, indeed!qship96 wrote:how sad infiniti cant compete at this level.
Up here in Canada you are hard pressed to find a second gen Q. Few exist. But you'll find lots of first generations ones (especially '94 and up models with the grille and many 2002+ models. In the Toronto area on my commute to and back from work I usually run ito a couple. I very sledom see the second gen model.qship96 wrote:

What are they smoking up there? Must have sent the failed Infiniti NA execs to the great frozen north.vivid1 wrote:The only thing is here in Canada we didn't get the rear spoiler on the touring.
