2nd gear grind!!!!

hey guys,

on an 06 coupe 6 spd i was wondering if anyone else has this happen. when i first drive the car after it has sat say for about 8 hours the gears feel like they are very hard to enter. it almost feels as if the synchros arent opening fully when i shift. it is most severe when shifting from 1st to 2nd. it seems to do it alilttle more now as the temp is dropping around 50 degrees. what gives is this just the trans in this car or should i send it back to the dealership. i almost want to say it just about grinds from first to second as i shift at about 4k rpm. any info is greatly appreciated thanks

You'd be best off posting this in a specific forum for whatever car you have. The menus on the right will link you there. There's a lot of smart guys who sometimes only view those forums, who may be able to help you.

Should be waranteed still. Take it to the dealer. My guess would be possibly low on fluid in the clutch master, bad clutch master, bad leaky slave or flaw in the trans.

Contact your dealer for sure. There is no reason something like that wouldn't be covered on an 06
