2K2/I35 gated shifter in I30, anybody done this?

I think the gated shifter and wood knob are nicer looking than the I30's. I Have searched this on here and other forums and the general consensus is that it would be very difficult/impossible to do. I recenlty saw an I30 on Craigslist that had the console, shifter, radio and cluster from an I35. I would provide the link but it's been deleted.

Anybody else seen or done this?
