Does anybody know where it is located? I know it's not under the hood. I think it is on the backside of the fuse panel (at the drivers’ side left knee). If this is correct, which of the two or three is it?

Bonus points. Which pins at the fuel pump connector power the pump?

Called a friend at Nissan parts, she says it is located on the left side of the firewall, or in a relay box on the rear part of the fender. No luck as to which pins power the pump.Good luck.

Thanks Bean, but I already checked those locations. There are only two relay panels under the hood, one on the drivers’ side just aft of the headlight and the other is midway along the passenger side front fender. Kenny from Scottsdale Pinnacle Infinity was cool enough to email me a diagram (hopefully the attachment came through), which shows it on the passenger side firewall, but there is no relay panel there. Is it possible that it is on the inside of the firewall behind the glove box? I didn't see anything up there and I'd have a hard time believing that the engineers would have made the FP relay that inaccessible. It is an I30t, but i don't think the 't' model would be any different from the standard I30 as far as relay panel location. I'm pretty sure I have a bad pump or relay at this point, but can't move forward until I find the relay.

One more thing, does anybody have a decent wiring diagram for this car? All I have is the Haynes manual, and it pretty much sux.

I'd hate to beat a dead horse, but I’ve talked to two different Infiniti dealerships now and have been given two different answers, neither of which have definitively helped on locating the fuel pump relay. Surely somebody has come across this before. Helppppp...

I'm sorry, I've been meaning to get back to this thread. I've checked all over the FSM for your car, and even that is no help on the location. It's got a generic picture, but from the looks of it; the relay is either in the engine bay or under the dash near the fuse panel. If I can remember, I'll check under my hood this afternoon.

That would be great. I will try to get a few pics of the engine compartment to show what I do have. Maybe it will help to show where I know it isn’t.

I found the relay location for future reference. It's located behind the kick panel/under dash area, just in front of the driver's door.

Hi guys,
First post here. Helping a buddy. He has a 1998 i30 and has verified his fuel pump works by hot wiring it. Now he's looking for the fuel pump relay. He's had the drivers kick panel off and can see the ABS computer as pictured here.

He doesn't think there is room behind the ABS computer for the fuel pump relay to live. Just thought I'd ask you guys. Should he go to the trouble of removing the ABS computer to look behind it?

Update: I asked my friend to humor me and remove the ABS module for a look. He did and now says that all that's behind it was some wiring harness. Any help would be appreciated.

Update: FIXED

My friend went back again and removed the ABS module once more. He found a black plastic backing that was removed also. This revealed the two relays. After replacing the fuel pump relay, the pump still would not run so he rung the wires between the pump and the relay and found an open wire. He suspects that there is a hidden harness connector somewhere which is the actual problem. He ran a separate wire from the relay to the pump and the problem is solved.
