this is a dumb question but it all boils down to how much do YOU have to spend on any swap.

cost order is as follows: 2jz < rb26 < rb30.
expect to spend ATLEAST 5-6k on a bare bones 2jz install...more if you do a 26 or 30 properly.

How much power are you wanting to make? IMHO, the KA is the best motor you could ever have in an S-chassis. Why, I'll tell you:
It came in the car, so everything fits.
You can go to O'Reilley's and get parts for it.
You have plenty of room in the engine bay with the KA to work on things.
It's 1000x easier to pull out if needed.
You can use the STOCK wiring harness.
With the right parts and setup, can make well over 500whp on pump gas.
Waaay cheaper to build than any of the other motors.
I'm not telling you NOT to go RB, as I have on myself, just beware of what you're getting into before making a commitment.

Just throwing this out there... But a Jz in a LHD s-chassis has the exhaust on the opposite side lessening the chances you will cook your BMC, same is true with RB and RHD.

Other than that, its still a long engine.
