Just get the Powertrix arms. I have Powertrix FUCA's, RUCA's and tension rods, and I'll be getting rear toe rods in a few weeks. and the quality is excellent. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone. If you plan on going low (or you're anal about your setups) get FUCA's, RUCA's, tension rods and toe rods, but if you're only gonna drop around an inch you'll be fine with FUCA's and tension rods.

I'd also recommend replacing most of your bushings, but that's a real PITA and not entirely necessary (although it does make a noticeable difference).

Gino wrote:brand really depends on budget. There are people who swear that only powertrix or SPL stuff will touch their car, then there are people who swear that ebay stuff is almost just as good. The main difference between the two is just the bearings and the tolerances (for the most part). Personally, I would say whatever you have the budget for. There are people I know with ebay suspension parts who have ran into curbs in auto-x and the OEM parts bend before the ebay parts do...BUT there are always people who say they're not nearly as good. As for subframe bushings or collars, personally: i am replacing with solid bushings. This will combat wheel hop like crazy. If you get wheel hop, either get spacers or replace the bushings. If not, then I wouldn't worry to much about them as it's a major PITA to do.

and awesome, I live about 20 minutes away from the MD/PA line (MD 30/PA 94)

I hope i never have to make a thread like this one lol, but if this motor ever goes up: VH45 rear mounted 35R's :x Sometimes it's good to be different a 2JZ is definitely different

Im smelling that the subframe got lowered to compensate for the oil pan clearance............

The 2jz needed a lot more clearance though so something had to be done to the hood.

You can lower the crossmember, but it'll f*** up your geometry up front. I'm cutting my hood for my VH.

Well it looks like I am going to go ahead and get a suspension setup and get rid of that horrible ride height. What do you guys think of this? Am I missing something?

Powertrix - Sport Street (SS) Coilovers Powertrix - Adjustable Front Camber Arms Powertrix - Adjustable Front Tension Rods Powertrix - Adjustable Rear Camber Arms Powertrix - Adjustable Rear Traction Control Rods Specialty-Z - Subframe Spacers

Thanks!

Assuming you already deleted your HICAS, yes, that has the makings of a great setup. Throw some sticky rubber on and that thing will handle like it's on rails.

Yup the HICAS was taken out a few years ago, couldn't stand the laggy hydrolic system. Thanks for the input!

Your car is sex on four wheels where, exactly, did you get the spoiler? I'm looking to replace mine in the future.

Haha thanks...it's the 1999 JDM spoiler that came on 300zx's in Japan. I think we got it here: http://www.conceptzperformance...88.34

Thats awesome but why are you using the Precision 6776S? I am having issue with my Greddy T78 setup and was thinking of going smaller

Seemed like the right size to be streetable for the power goals that I had in mind. I didn't want something too big that the lag would be unbearable, but I also wanted something to scream when it kicked in and I think this size compromise is definitely found in this turbo. I can always get something bigger in the future if I want more power anyway :chuckle:

Update:

I know it's been a while but here are some new pics with the Powertrix suspension:

Still looking for some lighter rims and stickier rubber for next time at the track. Here are some videos:

Took the car down to Summits Point, WV at the end of last summer along with the silver evo 8. This was our first time on a road course and my dad and I took turns driving both. We hit about 145mph on the main straight in the Z and about 135mph in the evo. Definitely need some stickier tires on the Z and some lighter rims. Power steering went out during the first session too :tisk: still had a blast though. Evo's brakes boiled also (was about 90 degrees that day). Learned a lot on our first time out. Please excuse the video taking skills

Looks awesome, sounds awesome. Pulls hard, I'm sure it handles great on the Powertrix suspension. What more could you ask for?

2JZ T4 Turbo Manifold
MAMS Custom Downpipe - Single
MAMS Custom Test-pipe - Single
Z32 HKS Hi-Power Cat-Back - Dual

MAMS routed the single exhaust from the 2JZ to my dual pipe Hi-Power exhaust that I had on the car before

Sticky tires :naughty: but no we are completely happy with how the car turned out.

Z32 engine bay looks sexy with an I6 motor in it. :dblthumb:

Looking nice. :)

How's the gear ratios compare soarer vs z32? And your final drive still Z32TT?

Thanks! Yup final drive is still Z32TT. The ratios are a little shorter than the original Z32TT ratios and something we will probably fix in the future.
