if he is absolutly stock it will be a close race but he just needs around 1k in work to be around 380whp i which case you will be spanked. How much is he paying for a 1999, thats freakin rare as hell.

I dont think there can be any real comparison btw the 2jz and sr20, the 2jz just has so much potential, if he decides to do ANY upgrades i think you will get killed, but if its stock you might be able to tell people you killed a 2jz, good luck man.

stock MKIV Supras run around a 14 sec 1/4 mile. If you put boost at 14-15psi on the SR then you have the ability to run mid to low 13's. This all depending on the driver of course. Check out the trap speeds for a solid run on both cars to really tell whos faster. I think the SR can win with upped boost.

Recently there was an mkIII with a 2jz swap that did a best of mid 14s @ CA Speedway.

Ive never seen a MKIV run that slow. Ive always seen them run low 13s or better.

ive got a Temple of Vtec video of a stock MKIV Supra running a stock R34 Skyline. Started as a drag race where the R34 ran a 13 something and the Supra ran a low 14. Even though the Supra makes around 280-320hp stock, there heavy *** cars compared to our S13's and they have really spread out gearing which arent meant for drag racing.

the jdm supras are slower then the usdm's. they come with less boost and smaller injectors. so if its jdm you have a good chance of winning. if its usdm, they put down 280whp stock. with a front mount intercooler, you can add another 20whp. so thats a 300whp car easy.

stock usdm supras i've seen runs as low as a 13.0 to mid 13's depending on mag and driver. they also trap from any where as high as 106-109mph stock. so from a roll they will seriously mess you up since most 15 psi T25 turboed SR's only traps 103-106mph tops, and 100 mph on average.

but hey this is a usdm model we're talkin about,a nd your gonna race a jdm one so good luck.

The mkIII, mr2, and celica uses the ct26, but the mkIII ct26 had a bigger turbine housing than the mr2 and celica ct26.

Not sure what the 2JZ runs. Definitely not ct26's.
