Hi

First off I have NO idea what I am doing, I am looking to buy a 2jz engine as a surprise for someone who does know what he is doing. He has a 240sx and wants to put a 2jz engine. I have seen a couple on ebay and am considering buying one.

If anyone could give me advice on whether its a good buy I would appreciate it! Since its a lot of money I just want to know I am buying something decent.

What else would i need to buy so that he can do the swap? I know i have heard him say brackets or harness and I know buying just the engine is not enough, but its a start.

Thanks for reading, and for any advice given!

First off I would make sure he said he wants a 2jz. That is a Toyota engine. Ive never heard of that swap and it is not practical in a 240. The skyline motor is more practical for the 240. If he is hooked on that motor he is better off getting a Toyota or Lexus that will run that motor (is300 I think)
