2jz swap ideas

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

Any input on the on mating the t56 to a 2j? I know I can use the ls1 clutch with a supra pressure plate I was just wondering about the input shaft length compared to the supra. Also if anyone is looking for a 400whp complete rb swap. I am willing to sell or possibly trade.

True, but for the price I can get a getrag for and what I can get a t56 for I can't help but try it on an auto 2jz motorset. Just like Long and have been talking about.

I know, I just can't get over that they're running 8's on a stock transmission in a heavy car like a Supra...that's just silly. Would also cure any potential problems you might run into trying to mate the two.

I still say keep the RB and get silly with it. There's a ton of potential left in that setup. But, if you're set on 2JZ, I'd pick up an N/A one out of a Lexus for under $500 and build it.

Well an N/A 2JZ build (with out useing a turbo) would really wet my pants BUT after reading the OP it seems like he wants the T56 because of its strenth so an N/A 2JZ won't be breaking anything like a R154/T56/Getrag any time soon.
