2jz stability

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

I done a bit of searching not only on these forums but on zilvia.net and 240sxfoums about this subject.

I have a 2jzgte with a r154 transmission and an infinity j30 dif out back. i currently have 17x9 front and 18x10 rear haven't gotten tires yet but i think ill be getting 235/40/17 and 285/35/18.

I have a lot of other supporting mods but my question is how do I get a smoother/more stable ride with the 2jz pushing 500hp to the rear wheels. i was thinking about replacing the bushing and add some sway bars. but im not sure what works for ka/sr guys will work for the 2jz.

and advice will be appreciated.

thanks

sounds literally just like the same setup i have except i have a kaaz diff and a 1j lol if your keeping your body stock i would suggest putting 215s on your front wheels it may rub on your suspension. mine does if i go any bigger than 215. without spacers. im also running 17x9 front and 18x10 rear. if you want a stable and smooth ride.. keep full interior replace all bushings and hav good suspension. a car with 500+whp without suspension is NO GOOD especially with a light car liek the s chassis

do as much suspension work as you can.

i have polyurethane bushings, bigger sway bars, strut bars, every suspension arm has been replaced. and i have a Drag radial that seems to help.

These kinds of questions only work when you give us your current suspension setup so that we may improve upon it. Also smoother/stable ride is very oppinionated and we need to know how you drive the car and for types of auto sports you participate in. A good set of coilovers would be a huge change in feel of your car especially since you can adjust dampening to make up for the added weight in the front to further balance your car out more.
