Okay, my best friend is putting a 2JZ-GTE(turbo) in his 95 supra, and has the 2JZGE(non-turbo) motor, transmission, harness, and ecu sitting around, said he'd sell me the whole kaboodle for 250, because he is the bomb, now comes the hard part. 2JZ-s13, is it even remotely possible for under a grand. Also, what kind of troubles would i be looking at if its even considerabel. Any help you guys can give would be awesome. Oh, and the supra motor makes 276hp naturally aspirated.... wow. alright, well thanks again. Dave.

are you sure it's 276 hp na? i'm pretty sure it was rated at 222hp just like the non turbo z32. from what i know, there is only two 2jz from a mk4, either a 222hp NA or the 320hp twin turbo, then again i'm no toyota fanatic.

as for the swap, i wouldn't really think it's hard to get that bad boy in there after a few fitment testing. i think the hardest part will be wiring and the other upgrade need to accomodate that engine in the s13 which by all means will exceed your $1000 budget.

it can't be 276. thats what the gtr skylines are rated not(not actual) but the point is they are rated at this for tax reasons. now we all know of the battle between the skyline and the supra so I think their turbo engines would have that same rating for taxes. 276.

hmm.... I may be wrong about the power numbers (im also not a toyota guy, i own a 240, obviously) but 222 is still a lot, especially for the price, but if its gonna be hella hard to wire up, i'll have to think about it. Anyways, thanks, and any extra help on the subject would be great. Dave.

If you think about it, it's not realy that bad, if the transmission lines up with the shifter hole, no problem. Customizing and relocating engine mounts isn't all that bad, Same goes for the transmission mounts. What I wouldn't like is probably the exhuast system. It's on the passenger side and there's no grooves in the body to fit a nice 3 inch exhuast. That's my only main concern. Everything else, isn't that bad. If you do it yourself, it's not gonna cost you much, just have to run to the junkyard or custom bend and weld your own engine mounts on the chasis. If you have someone else do it, say, a shop, have fun because you'll definately exceed your budget of $1,000. Regardless, have fun and good luck.

yeah as long as the shifter hole lines up, and it physically fits in the engine bay, you could fabricate motor/transmission mounts if need be, and then its just a matter of driveshaft fitment and rear end issues, and wiring.

itll throw your weight distribution off. give it a shot.

there's a guy in the forum w/a turbo 2jz. Look around for 2jz or 1jz swap.

a 2jzge is only 200bhp, the VG30DE is 222, the JDM 2jzgte and VG30DETT were both 298, and the USDM 2jzgte has 320 (USDM VG30DETT is no different from the JDM one). An R34 has "273" but really has something like 340.
