Besides the rear seats existing or not, what are the differences between the 2by2 and 2seater? I keep seeing parts for only one or the other

Thanks

Rich

Edit: I just found out a little more about them, the overall length is about 8 inches longer, so i see wht exhaust upgrades differ between 2by2 and 2+0.

anything else really?

Yep, there are a lot of differences, more cosmetic, and a few engine wise which you seem to have found.

The hatch is longer, longer hatch glass

The exhaust is different like you said

Where the gas tank inlet is mounted

Nissan did not make a 2+2 Twin Turbo

The 2+2 has a larger gas tank

It weighs more by a fair amount

Trunk spacing is different (if you order custom fit things like sub boxes, carpet, n stuff)

Thats about all that comes to mind being a 2+2 owner and seeing plenty of coupes and reading up on them

Nissan USA did not make a 2+2 TT...Nissan in Japan and Europe made a ton. Several of us in the US swapped TT motors into our 2+2's..so don't let having no turbo motor keep you from the sexier lines of the 2+2. Just swap a motor in. They DO NOT weight substantially more. I don't know what that guys opinion of a "fair amount" is. The side skirts and rear bumper on the 2+2 cannot be used on the 2 seater. The front bumpers are interchangable mounting wise. So remember this when getting aeroparts. Almost all the good aero from Japan is for the 2+2. The doors and door glass are also different. What are you really trying to find out? What is swaying your decision?

Well, in actuality it was to see if mine was a 2by2 or a 2seater, since its TT, it must be a 2seater(since stock engine)... NOW before you jump on me:

I bought the car very quickly, the guy had 2 other guys waiting to see it, one had his checkbook out, so i just walked up, took one spin around the block (at night) and parked, told him ill take it, and am going to pick it up on friday.

anyway i didnt even look backwards in the car, and i just figured the only diff was back seats or storage in the same space, guess not.

anyway, anyone have a side by side picture of the cars, im having a hard time finding pics of the differences

thanks

Well to be honest, Nissan USA didn't make any Z cars, but they didn't import any 2+2 TTs either ALL Z32s were made in Japan.

Hahaha...Barry, I wasn't being that literal. But yes, technically not one Z32 was made in the US ever.

You're not sure if you have back seats, but you're sure you have turbos
