Ok, so I'm trying to RB swap my 280zx. I found an rb25 for relatively cheap but it comes without a trans. Does the Rb bolt up to the stock l28e trans? Also, I found 2 more but one has the "Short" trans and one has the "long" trans if I have to use one of these which will be easier to mount up? Thanks!

First off, no, the RB25 will not bolt up to the L28 trans.

Second, it is easier/cheaper to buy an RB25 with a trans, then it is to find just the engine, then to have to find the transmission separate, trust me.

I have no idea what you mean by a "long" and "short" transmission.

I'm not really sure what the person ment, but they said that there is a difference.

I'm with Ramius. It will run you $750-$900 for a used RB25 transmission when a motorset only costs $2200 these days. There is no sense in trying to skimp in the transmission department or you will regret it later on down the road when it keeps shelling out.
