280ZX I picked up for a good price

When you see a running, good condition 280ZX on the side of the road for 1200 what do you do? You offer him 800 and get it for 900. I am very pleased with my unplanned purchase of the Z, it does have some rust issues needing attention but really nothing serious and other then that it's aight. I mean it is a '79 so pretty much everything is faded... alot. Runs great though, too bad it's just an L28E, not sure if I want to swap in an L28ET or an RB, or what, I have no plans at all yet, other then to restore everything! Next step, antique plates! Anyhow, I'll have the pics up tomorrow I didn't realize how dark they came out, I'll need to take some new ones.

Actually brown ftl, lol only cause I ripped it all out and have a black carpet on the way and a roll of black leatherish stuff. oh and a new dash for free, booyah!

Man, you got a great deal, but would you believe my story. I found I 83 280zx l28e on CL. for 500US. everything is decent for it year. but the interior suck though, But this thing need a lot of work though and seriously, I will show you guys some picture of the interior later on

decent finds there guys but I'm afraid I'm ahead of you but mine weren't in quite as good shape... 280ZXR (yes actual ZXR) $26079 280ZX with 82 turbo engine FREEboth cars had great interior cept for carpet and both ran with a fuelpump... however the bodies are rough...but yea it is verynice to see others rescuing S130s

PS theres an 83 2+2 turbo locally for $400 but don't run.. body is in good shape interior near perfect and has Swastika wheels. I don't have the funding/place to put it so...

i woundt worry too much on the interior... theres a place here in Hayward that did mine for pretty cheap... if you can find yourslelf some nice seats .. the shop i went to can recover them and your door panles and rear panles for around $500... and thats not a bad deal....

Wow, clean man, I'm about halfway done with doing mine myself, it's coming out a lot better then expected, and Auto Custom Carpets gets a huge from me they had exactly what I wanted and in black, so the total for my new interior 245 and 4 hours or so. I could have gotten a good deal thru a local interior place from work but now I have the know-how for next time! EDIT pics will be up very soon, from gross tan to black, and keeping the brown dash and woodgrain FTW!
