Does anyone know where I can locate a supercharger kit for a '77 280z with L28?

jim cook used to offer a bolt on kit, the problem is that you can get better results by swappin a used turbo motor srom an 82-83 280ZX

there have been a couple of one offs done, but they require a lot more work and make less power than the simple turbo swap, and if your engine is in good condition, you can just run all the turbo bits on your stock motor, it just doesn't get any easier, I personally recomend the full swap as it lessens the learning curve

Thanks man. In that case then, if i did an aftermarket turbo set-up, what would you recommend. My engine is in perfect shape. It is a full rebuild just waiting to go in the car. We just wanted to make more power off that engine before piecing it back together.

I don't think there are any "aftermarket turbo setups" the best bang for the buck is still a used 82-83 280ZXT donor, I understand wanting to re-use your freshened up motor and most likely you still can, what block and head do you have? how much power do you want to make? assuming you have the N42 block and the N47 head you can swap all the turbo part on, the only real issue is you have to swap the distributor driveshaft to drive the optical dist to run the turbo ecu and harness, I'd swap that head for an N42 if you can find one, or a P90 with a 1mm metal HG
