I want to swap a 280z motor into my 240sx. my 240 is an 89 sohc, the datsun has an inline 6. is this possible and how hard would this be? is it worthdoin it is the question.

my friend has a datsun that runs awesome but no title, and I have a 240, so I started brainstorming. has anyone done this before?

quite straighfoward actually. You need the RB20 tranny, autmatic trans crossmember spun around backwards and an RB engine crossmember from a Skyline or Cefiro. You will also need a front sump oil pan instead of the Z's rear sump. Oh yeah and the hood ain't closing no way no how until you pound a BIG blister in it. You will have to use electic fans on the radiator as there is a cu, well lets say a very small hair's distance ;)between the front of the L and the radiator.
