280z front bumper???

alright guys i know these has been asked a bunch. i love the s30 but the front bumper of the 280z is just ugly(srry to whoever loves it). can i just take it off?and how much does it weigh.

also i was looking at this http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/7AP/50-1500 if i buy this does this remove that bumper?

yes the early bumper cna go ont he later car, you'll have to fab you're own moutn brackets, just a couple of "L" brackets really, and yes the type 3 airdam has a faux bumper moulded into it so it is to be run without a bumper

just keep in mind with the early bumper or the msa type 3 youhave virtually no frotn end protection, if you hit something it's gonna do more than dent your chrome, if the car is a cruiser, racer or whatever go for it, if the ca si a daily driver a real bumper is a lot safer

I kinda like the MSA type II bumper, but I too am worried about the lack of crash protection I wonder if you can get it to use it with a 240Z chrome bumper, or maybe there's some way to bolster it up a bit with some metal inside? maybe a 2"x1" steel bar in behind it, though I cringe at the thought of hitting anything... Have you heard of anyone bolstering the front kits?
