Here's a couple pictures from yesterday and today of the 280Z. Steve wetsanded it this morning then buffed it this afternoon. There is a good amount of compound dust and junk on the car but the finish is smooth as glass and has a very good look to it. Monday he is glazing the car and I'll get some more pics of it. I had him throw on the mirrors so you could get an idea of how they look. Can't wait to get the paint all finished up, throw the new weather stripping on it, put on the rechromed bumpers and bumper bars, and slap on the new wheels. Gonna be a busy couple weeks. Can't wait to see it done!!!

Anyway, on to the pics

Thanks for looking!

I'm just going to repolish the trim. Its actually in very good shape. If anything looks out of place once its put back together, I can replace pieces then. Everything was quite solid before hand so its not really much of an issue. The trim is just a little gooey from the adhesive from the tape from painting. I have adhesive remover and some polish to take care of that though

Here's some pictures from today after the glazing and foam padding. Looks really good. The pics don't come close to doing it justice, the glisten and gloss of the paint is unreal. It is so deep its like you could reach into it. Tomorrow the wheels are going on it and the undercoating and wheel wells are getting sprayed. Then the new weather stripping goes on, the emblems go on, then the bumpers. Woo hoo!

Looking good! Looks like some fun cars in that shop including a Isetta under restoration. I want that Cobra!

In the 4th picture, there is a guy working on a primered car. Kinda looks like a C110 from the angle. What is it?

I don't think thats an isetta, some other micro car I'm not good with the names, and I had to look for the cobra, I guess my eyes are failing in my old age, and I thought the Metro was teh hotness

Here's some pics from today. Weather stripping, emblems, wheels, etc. Its really starting to look like a car again The wheels totally finish the look. Wider than the steel wheels with hubcaps, and they look a million times better. Good to see what the final project is gonna look like.

Picked up my bumpers and bumper bars from the chrome shop on tuesday. It took them longer than expected to get everything done, but as always, their work is second to none. The reflection is so top notch it is extremely difficult to take pictures of them You can read the newspaper in the reflection or the small print on a soda can. They're gonna look awesome when we put them on next week!
