280ax Knock sensor

Guys, sorry for the stupid question but this part is not covered in my repair manual, neither clilton nor haynes. Is the knock sensor located on the intake manifold? there is a sensor under some air valve near the fuel regulator that has two wires coming off it. Its not a bosh plug, just two wires. I thought it was the temp sensor, but I am no more sure on that since the book shows that as some place else. My car is totally bogged down under load..terrible so and I heard that the knock sensor can do that, and to be honest..I sparked that sensor pretty bad cuz i popped the wire off on accident while it was running and it shorted to ground. Any one have any idea what that thing is? I will try to make a photo of it and post that. Thanks.Here is the picture...is circled in red. (http://bayimg.com/OACmBaAbi)

no picture, anyhow, the knock sensor is on the turbo model only and it's found on the passanger side of the block behind the oil filter, the n/a I believe had a cold start injector in the area you discribe but it does use a standard busch plug

anyhow, obvoiusly not a turbo, and half way down the intake pipe I know of no sensor that belongs there??? can you get a close up pic

X2 I don't think there should be anything there...the cold start is further foreward and is another bosch type plug just like the normal injectors
