Does anyone know if a 275/50/17 will fit on a G35? Sedan or coupe?

Thanks,

Jeff

Thanks man,

The 295/35/18 is 26.13" tall while the 275/50/17 is 27.88" tall. I'm worried that extra 1.5" in height will be enough that I'll be cutting the tire on the fender.

I have 275 40 18 on mine... in the Back... and 245 45 18 front

But you can't put anything wider than 245 on ther front on the stock wheels.. It will rub the control arm on the inside part of the wheel... If you have wheels with different offset then it will work but it looks stupid with that wide of a tire on the front.. But 275 looks sweet on the back!

Just to let you know... The tallest you can get a 275 is a 45 side wall... they really expensive on the 275 45... not under 250 bux for one... I have 275 40 18... they were like 136 each and it fits ...

But the 275 40 17 will be too small for you.. Make the G rev Higher than it already does.

I would go like 225 55 17 front and 275 45 17 in the rear (same hight as the 225 55 that are stock.).. you need to fill the wheel wells or it will look stupid.

MY G had 245 40 18's when i bought it.. IT needed to be filled more to look right.

you loose the hight with 245 45 17 and 275 40 17.. if you had 18's or 19's then you make up for it in the extra inch on the wheel size..I had these sizes on my IS 300 and the wheel wells were much smaller than the G

YOU Need Bigger Rims

Thanks for the advice Tampa G!

You can get 275/40/17 but they are competition tires...

I am interested in buying a set of stickies for track use only. I'm looking at 275/40/17 all the way around mounted to 17x9" rims with a Wheel backspacing: 6.77" (172mm) and Wheel offset: 1.77" (+45mm). I think these will mount to the front but I may have to "shave" the control arm stock and remove the front fender liners.

I'll either run Hoosier R6

OR Kumho V710.

I had a feeling you were looking for track tires.

That is too much money to spend on tires just for a short time... LOL

I think you need to go with 275 R all the time lol

Life is all about priorities

If I keep my G until 2010 those tires should last me the life of the car. I'll use them at the drag strip too, cup tires make great drag radials.

I don't want to over tire the car on the street and I like to have the same size all around for rotating. I did 235/45/17's and will probably go up to 245/45/17 or 245/50/17 next year when I finish wearing out the 235's.

Thanks,

Jeff
