I need to replace current tires on my 93 Hatch, I want to buy a set of Falken Azenis RT-615 but they dont offer my current size for the rear.

Tire Sizeshttp://www.discounttiredirect....mance

Current tire application Front 235/40/17 on 17x9 Rear 265/40/17 on 17x10

This is my purposed new tire setup

Front 245/45/17Rear 275/40/17

Just wondering if the rear tires will fit and if anyone has ran this size on a S13 or even a S14?

Suspension Set upTein HA coilovers all aroundRear adj. links all aroundRear Fender pull and rollcar sits with 1 finger gap all around

Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated

I actually am running you're proposed setup with 17*9 +22 and 17*10.5 +17... With that offset, I have ~5mm of clearance from coilovers and the setup required a high roll in the rear ( I have 30mm overfender, looks real good with my offset) and minor roll in the front.

Without coilovers, that setup will NOT fit AT ALL (the 45 sidewall up front rubs the shock) . And the 245/45 up front is a too high, it rubs during full lock for me. I would stick with the 235 or go for a 245/40.....which is very hard to come by.

Hope that helps.

Well it's good to know that the rear's will fit. I read some where that the 245/40/17 would fit and thought it would be nice to try and squeeze a little more meat up front, but my 235/40/17 all ready are starting to do wire harness damage up front at full lock so I will stick with the 235/40/17 size up front.

Thanks for the Info,

Just wanted to update I finally picked up the Falken Azenis RT-615 went with the 235/40/17 up front and the 275/40/17 out back. Not bad I was kind of leaning to putting on my other rims 18x10 zero offset front and 18x12 zero offset rear but I had not done my research prior to going to the tire shop so the guys behind the counter couldn’t think outside of the box and help me think of a size and similar tire in an 18. They just kept saying those rims are too big for your car. I would have just said forget about it, but they had ordered the Falken Azenis and they were there waiting while I had the 18’s in the shop. So of course one look in person at those bad boys and I had to have them to see what all the fuss was about. So far they have been on for about 2 weeks. No sooner than I put them on I hit the road and knocked out a 600 mille road trip on them and not bad, if I do say so myself. Drove from Ga to IL by way of I-24 so I got to play in the mountains and on the straight always and I was impressed. Only thing now is I need to camber in the fronts and the rears. I don’t feel comfortable taking a corner at speed even with that much meat she feels like she’s wanting to over push the front wheels and not bite in and turn the front. O don’t have any pictures of my car on the site but I will see if I can fix that

This is not uncommon fitment. Just search the fitment database. Broadfield used to run 245/35/18's upfront and 275/35/18 out back on his s13.

I'm running 255's all around with a roll and slight pull, but I don't have fender liners and mine is not quite as low as yours.

Oh really?! Do tell! I think you were on Megan coils and switched to something else right? Are you able to get lower if you wanted to?

What kinds of issues should one be aware of if they want to run 255's without fender liners?

Yean, now I have koni adjustable shocks with GC sleeves. I could go lower if I wanted, but I like proper suspension geometry. I haven't really had any issues with the 255's. I have 17x9 +17 wheels with an 1/8" spacer up front (+14 effectively) to clear my suspension. The tire may rub the fender if the spring compressed far enough, but I'm running 550 lb/in springs and a whiteline sway bar up front, so I don't get a whole lot of roll.
