I have a chance to buy a great set of tires and wheels from someone who used them on a G35. The fronts are 245/35 20 and the rears are 275/45 20. Does anyone know if they are too wide for my car??

I would think the offset would matter in this case, you might need spacers or you might need to roll your fenders in the rears. I know a few Y33 folks had to roll their fenders in the rear for 275's to fit on 19" rims so you'd probably be in teh same boat.

You can fit 275's in there, I have them in the back of my Y33, and have seen them on F50's, but I'm surprised at the sizes, they went from a 35 in front to a 45 in back, which added to the back tires being 275 vs. 245 fronts means the back tires are a good bit taller than the fronts. In general, you go DOWN in aspect ratio size on rear tires that are wider so that the overall diameter stays roughly the same. I would expect to see a 275/30-20 in that case, not a 275/45.

245/35-20 has OD of 26.8"275/45-20 has OD of 29.7"

That's nearly 3" taller in the rear!!! Are you sure those are the right sizes??

Now a 275/30-20 is almost spot on with a 245/35-20 in OD size, off by only .1".

My thoughts exactly. I would think that you mistaken as the title says '275/35/20' and in the post it is '275/45/20'

Like Falk says, the 275/45/20 is way too tall for a Q45. It will fit but it may cause VDC and ABS problems since the rolling diameters is nearly 11% different. And all the sizes listed above are already taller than what the oem rolling diameter for the G35 is. They may work but it makes the speedo even more inaccurate.

Thanks Jeff. If I need spacer, would the installer know that?

Thanks a lot Falken, I made a mistake when I typed the sizes. The rears are 275/35 19s.

Yes, they can work with spacers, I just had them installed on my car and the mechanic was able to figure it out easy. Get the tire sizes, the offset of the rims and than the folks here will tell you if you need them, or at least make good guesses.
