I recently bought a set of used z32 aluminum calipers. I was told prior to shipment that they were 30mm (from a 91-92.5 TT 300ZX). I can't get an accurate measurment with a tape measure to see which version they are. I need to 30MM ones to go with my Ford Cobra 13" rotors for my 1999 Maxima. Any help is greatly appreciated. BTW I have already seen the comparisons on the Princeton.edu site, but its still hard to differentiate.

Okay, first check the back of the caliper and see if you have these(arrows). If you have them, you have aluminum calipers. If not, it's easy. You have 30mm iron calipers. Left is aluminum and right is iron.

If you have aluminum caliper, measure this area w/question mark in milimeter. If it's 35mm, then you have 30mm calipers.

I HAVE aluminum calipers....My issue is that my tape measure doesn't have MM on either side and t omeasure by inches is difficult. Its hard to get an accurate measure. That is a good site though. Actually its the only site I've seen with that info on it.

Tape measure that you see in above picture is in INCH. So why don't you compare your measurement with above picture?

Let's try one more time. You see 1 3/8inch is about 35mm, so if you measure your caliper with a tape measure that only has inches, you will have 1 inch plus 3 small readings. See that 8 on the left side of tape measure and 3 on the right?

This kid sent me the 26MM calipers when he was advertising the 30MM. The inner portion of the caliper (where the rotor sits) measured 30.2MM when I took it to a machine shop this morning. The 30MM Z32 calipers are supposed to measure ~35MM on the inner part. My 13" Ford Cobra rotors just barely squeeze into the 26MM calipers which makes me feel unsafe. Thanks for your help by the way. Now I gotta try and get a refund.
