I wondered this for a long time as well before I got my cams. I decided to go with the "Do it right or do it twice" rule. I know you're in a hurry to drop those bad boys in, but you know at the very least it'd give you piece of mind to upgrade the valve springs. With that being said, if you plan on revving up to 7000+ rpms, I'd just do the upgrade.

You can run those cams, but not recommended without Valve springs and retainers. Stock valve springs tend to bind under high rpms. If you are going to do any head work to a SR20, do it right the first time.

Does this Binding occur with stock cams too? Cause it being my drift car its constantly tached out an near rev limit just curious if its only with aftermarket cams?

It is possible but not likely. The binding usually occurs with aftermarket cams on stock valve springs. If you are constantly bouncing off the rev limiter I would get some rocker arm stoppers.
