260z wiring in280z dizzy

Where do i wire the two wires of the black box on280z dizzy to stock 260wiring.
I unpluged stock 260 ingntion box cause of replaced with the280dizzy being all in one unit. The two wires are blue and brown an tried diffrent combos of placing them till batery dies. Please help as to where i should place them

unfortunately the 260z is an odd bird, early cars ware carb'd later ones were injected it seems no 2 left the factory identical. here is a link on converting a 280z, if you car had an electronic distributor whihc I think all the 260's had? this should cover it, if not let me know and I'll see what I can dig up.

Also any special needed for a mallory dizzy cause i dont have msd box would it work with stock 260 wiring? If so how do i wire it up

How many wires are coming out of the distributor? There was a points type aftermarket which has 1 wire and an electronic which has 3. the 1 wire you wire to the negetive side of the coil, the 3 wire wires much like the e80-12 unit wiring except I think it adds a ground, you'd have to check the mallory website for details on their distributor.

Red green brown on it. Yeah i looked and most of the diagrams are for msd box an thought maybe found one diagram to wire but not sure if its burnt up

It worked like a champ... I thank you very much an some how retained a working tach.which on that note when key is on it peg to eight thousands rpms now i hope it will stay working cause it comes an goes but now im sure it works as it should as a whole again thank you again an good day to you sir

Na tach still reads weird sorry good day
