To all of the guys that are running the walbro and stock FPR are you running rich?

Do you notice a lull in performance from running too rich?

Backfires, farts, excessive blacksmoke, etc?

I am just about to get the Walbro and just need someone to push me over the edge. I have been running the stock pump for two years now with no problems (I know I am pushing my luck) but to buy the higher flowing pump to harm performance is just a kick in the pants.

Also have you guys had any quirks with the pump at all? Any install tips would be great. I figure it's just a direct swap from my research but if you have any additions to make it go more smoothly that would also be great.:help

I can't belive that I can't get any love on this. So no one in the SR20DET section has a walbro fuel pump!

I've got the Walbro 255 unit, works beautifully. Very quiet, and im not running rich. Your stock FPR will dump the excess fuel back into the tank without problems. You wont regret the upgrade, ditch that stock pump ASAP. BTW, you could have found the answer by searching, hehe...nothing personal. :)

I installed my pump few days ago, works great and it's quiet, can't hear it at all.
