i know, i know. this has been beaten to death, and i've read and searched and lurked for months and months now, but i'm so cross-eyed  from over-working i just wanted to make a post and ask if i've missed anything stupid or obvious.

here's the scenario. 1992 s13 Vert. Auto transmission blew up 300 miles from home. kicked things.

5spd swap. spun bearing on stock KA, an hour after transmission was finished.. screamed at the sky.

bought junk yard KA and the ring lands on Cyl. 3 went 2 days later. sighed in defeat, and started plotting revenge.

now i've just bought an RB20 swap w/40K miles on it.

here's everything i've bought to get it in and running, minus the fluids and filters, etc.

timing set:

Downpipe:

Radiator:

Mckinney knockoff mount kit: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBay ... MEWNX%3AIT

FMIC:

swap was missing MAF, so had to replace:

walbro Fuel pump
new OEM water pump

anything obviously missing? i've been working 85 hours a week all month to make this happen, and i've lurked and read SOOO much on here, i'm not even thinking clearly anymore.

also, what's ya'll's input on where the next 1500 bucks should go? I'm, leaning towards ISIS control arms set, solid subframe mounts, and poly bushing all the ways around, as well as a broadfield-esque 6 gauge custom cluster.... or a fuel delivery system upgrade, injectors, fuel rail, FPR's and some sort of management.

anyways, it's WAY too late, and i have to be back at work way too soon...

I'd just like to thank all the dedicated contributors to these forums, the amount and quality of information here is really staggering.

Really hoping to be able to use my vacation to go to the TOTD RB meet.... hehe

thanks for your time, and looking forward to applying for RBBA membership :dblthumb:

I just finished doing something of the same thing so I'll give you a list I used. Some of your links don't work either just so you're aware. You might have difficulty fitting that radiator and those fans in. I don't know how much room you will have with an RB20, but with my RB25, stock R33 radiator and twin super thin FAL puller fans I just barely have enough room. I don't however have enough room for power steering or A/C so keep that in mind.

1. Radiator Hoses - I don't know if your engine came with any, but I recommend replacing them
2. Clutch, Pressure Plate, TO Bearing - These are probably old and beat up
3. Rear Main Seal - Same reason as above plus it's a PITA if it leaks once it's in your car
4. Battery (and misc cables, connectors, power distribution) - I couldn't click on the FMIC link, but your probably gonna have to move your battery outta the engine bay
5. Exhaust - Not sure what's currently on your car (not necessary, but might as well not choke off your new engine)
6. AFPR - You will most likely need the Adjustable Fuel Pressure Reg. with the Walbro Fuel Pump
7. Misc Crap - This includes the fluids, fuel lines, vacuum lines, heater lines, etc. Plan on spending something like $200 on this crap. I kid you not. I was surprised when I bought all this stuff at once it. Just the fluids (oil, coolant, trans oil, diff oil, brake fluid, and some power steering fluid) alone cost about $125.

If you want my opinion, which really is what your asking for, I wouldn't waste your time upgrading the fuel rail. Unless you plan on going all out track or something. Rarely have I seen a street car that needed to upgrade the fuel rail. The rest of the fuel system sure if you want, but for my money I'd put and extra money into suspension bits. Poly bushings sound nice. Replacing old worn out parts like bushings is always a good idea. Maybe some struts/springs or coilovers if ya don't have them already. Anything really to tighten up the old suspension will make your car a much more enjoyable experience (and slightly faster too).

The stuff he mentioned up above plus a oil pump if it hasn't already been replaced
