2500-3000 rpm stall

Just swapped in a ca18det and finally got it running after realiasing that 2 plugs were backwards now thats ok but it will start idle just fine but won't rev and i cannot figure out why. Dont know if the vacuum lines are hooked up right i am not running any smog equip. so any thoughts or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

check the MAF, its 99% of the time the maf if you cant go higher than 2500rpms.

I just gor the engine how do you test a maf? and if that is bad is there any car i can yank one from the junk yard? Or do i have to order it from a store?

If it is bad, and if you have a stock ecu then you can use a mafs off of a kae motor. Just like the_chosen_one said, if you can't rev it past 2500 then its usually the mafs.
