Where to start! BTW all of this could be related.

1. Sometimes when I try to start my car it won't kick over. I wiggle the shifter, put it in neutral and it'll usually start. Sometimes I can play with the ignition while in park and it'll start up. What's going on with this?

2. I'm getting a misfire.

3. The car dies while driving. I can kick it into neutral (while still moving) and it'll starts right up on the first turn.

4. I've got a P0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction. I bought a new sensor, now where is it located(I'm just lazy)?

5. If I give it just enough gas it has trouble getting out of 1st gear. 2nd 3rd+ are all fine. Replaced fuel filter, MAF cleaned(replaced 43K miles ago along with plugs and ignition coils and has the trans rebuilt by an idiot)

Some maintenance notes. I just replaced the lower control arm, pan hard rod, and trailing arm bushing with poly's, installed new front sway bar links.

Parts in transit: 2" AC Coils(replace my OME 922 HD's), KYB GR2's, Bilstein 5100 shocks, front and rear swaybar bushings, camber alignment kit, and Goodridge g-stop 2" extended stainless steel brake lines.

Thanks for the help!

Misfire and dying while driving is most likely caused by your crankshaft position sensor being bad, and it might be causing your starting issue too. Here is its location:

Out of curiosity, are you consuming any oil? Why did the trans need a rebuild? Have you done a fluid exchange yet to get break-in wear and any contamination from the rebuild process out? Congratulations on surpassing 250k!

That's the one that's next to the oil filter. You want this part. If you order from RockAuto, be sure to use a 5% discount code.

Damn that's a hell of a lot cheaper than Napa. I just dropped twice that! Well I swapped out the sensor I'll report back as to if it helps with the starting and stalling issue. Do you know if the sensor has to acclimate? If not then it did not help the acceleration out of 1st issue. It's almost as if a kid is driving stick for the first time.

Thanks!

Try resetting the ECU by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a few minutes.

How's the trans fluid level and condition? Are you affected by the shift flare issue? See NTB01-055a 2001 PATHFINDER AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION 1-2 OR 2-3 SHIFT FLARE for details.

Well I figured it out. The crank position sensor didn't do anything. I received my new MAF and went to put it in today when I noticed a bolt was missing from the ducting that does in between the MAF and throttle body. It turns out that it had vibrated loose and completely split in half. I gorilla taped it up and it runs like new! So instead of dropping $160 on a new duct I'm going to replace it with a cold air intake. Any suggestions? I saw one on eBaY by a company called Weapon R. I want to make sure I'm not buying crap.

Thanks!

I talked to the company that makes the Weapon R CAI and compared their product to the K&N. Weapon R uses better materials like aluminum ducting opposed to plastic and their filter media isn't a cheesy foam. So I ordered the kit for $250 and pretty stoked! I've wanted one for a while and now I've got a good enough excuse.

Thanks brutha!

Nice! Did you notice any difference in performance or mpg?

MPG i would say nothing I can tell, mileage still SUCKS. Performance I would say yes. At least butt dyno feels decent. I have the 3.3 Dog, it has always felt solid but SLOW. It is still Slow but has a little bit of "kick". 171 base horse power, I will take any pony I can get!
