As most of you now know, my Insight "Buzz" is up for sale.

After Greg bought me The 3, two things happened: our insurance company said, "ENOUGH" and we officially, completely ran out of room to park cars. After much soul-searching, we decided that parting with her made the most sense. No one ever drove her but me so it wasn't like she served more than one purpose. The others are driven by multiple people for multiple reasons.

However, as logical as the decision is, I really hate to see this car go. It actually makes me sad. Buzz reminds me a lot of the 210s I had years ago. They were purpose built: transportation from point A to point B. Buzz just happens to have the added bonus of astronomical gas mileage. I'll miss that part, of course, but the thing that appealed to me the most was that she was my beater car. Reliable, of course, but a beater none the less. I could do whatever I wanted and it didn't matter. Throw my food wrapper on the floor? Sure. Haul flowers and bags of dirt from Home Depot in it? Absolutely. Make a Hail Mary turn around trip to the Grand Canyon with Christine in < 8 hours? Well, duh, what else would we take? ;) She has reliably hauled everyone in this family somewhere dependably and without incident. Saturday morning, I gave her one last bath, and I'd be lying if I said it didn't suck. I REALLY don't want to be around when she is sold.

I will miss seeing these hanging on the key rack every morning.

She looks just as good as she did 25,000 miles ago and drives even better. We made a few upgrades and did some maintenance that the former owner didn't. I just hope the new owner enjoys her as much I have and doesn't decide to do something crazy like drop an LS1 in her

At any rate, please help us get the word out if you know anyone who is in the market for an awesome car that gets fantastic mileage and has a kickass tattoo. (We'll take the "your Prius sucks" sticker off if they want but I think it just adds to her appeal).

No. Greg said he sold it not too long after that event.

So in terms gas consumption, could we say Buzz was a "Light Year"?
 Looks like a very clean Insight. You should have no problem finding a new home for it.

Good by Buzz! It's aways hard to see a liked car go. Especially a beater. They're the most fun.

Buzz is en route to Stillwater, OK with her new owner.

She couldn't resist giving me one last "tweak", as I went to drive to the airport and the damn check engine light came on. Fortunately, it was the result of sitting for a week (the battery pack has to be used almost daily or it gets finicky) and was easily remedied.

Godspeed, Buzz. Thanks for the free transportation for 2 years! :)

She was a lot of fun. I'm glad someone else is going to get some good use out of her. With only 186K on the clock, she's got a lot of life left in her. :)
