last night after struggling with cam allignment and not ticking where the exaust cam gear SHOULD go, i finally got everything straightened away, BOTH 248/248 cams, i get the valve cover back on, put the plugs back in... start it up, ALREADY sounds more aggressive, cool... warm it up... start for a first gear pull down the street, less low rpm power as expected, then i slowly hit 5krpm and it feels like it hits a limiter, as i toy with it, im not sure its a limiter cause at like 40% throttle, i can slowly push it past 5000 to about 6.... prior to the install i had a code 34(knock) and i still do, does this have to do with any of my problems, someone please help, why is my car doing this?

(UPDATE***)<after my mechanic friend took a look at it, we took a ride... we've come to the conclusion that maybe when i struggled with the exhaust cam i have it a tooth to the right (or maybe left). and at high RPM the air cant get all the way through to engine cause the cam closes too early, so it cant get more air BACK into the intake, this kinda makes my car EXTREMELY inefficient for fuel>

no offense guys, but from those links it was still IMPOSSIBLE to allign my cams correctly, so march 26th, me and my buddy pulled it apart again, and THOUGHT we knew what the problem was, of course not, so we litterally tried 3 different setups, not knowing which cams were retared, advanced or both... eventually we just took off the top timing cover and used the drive pulley for the upper chain as a guide, threw it back together, and... VOILA... now its running great, i love the 248/248 setup... ITS GAME-OVER FOR BRANDON NOW!

Its not like you got that much power from the setup...You olnly have maybe 7 or 8 HP to the wheels, buddy.
