248/248 cam swap

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

when u do a 248/248 cam swap, do u get power everywhere in the powerband? i've already searched but only says u get good topend. any input would be appreciated.

It adjusts the powerband. Give some here, take some there. in the case of 248/248 tq wouldnt be that great, but top end would be better. Not really ideal for NA with low rev limit, more suited for turbo.

so do u suggest getting the 248/232 cam setup instead?

248 intake and 232 exhaust. when u do it on a s13 head, what do u do to install a 232 in place of a 248 in the exhaust side? do u just leave the cam gear in the same position? i know u rotate ccw 4 teeth for the 248 intake cam to work. but just want to make sure about the 232 exhaust side.

There was a thread on here where a guy tested out different stock cam configurations. So go read up and see what you think youll like best. IMO I would go 240 over the 232 for better mid range.
