yesterday when i was taking out my plugs i saw that i have a bad valve cover gasket because a few of my spark plugs were dripping in oil. so i got new plugs and new gasket. i took off my valve cover, motor at tdc. marked the cam and gear , pulled the intake cam, put the 248 in, and set it back 4 teeth. put everything back on. but car wont start. so today i took the valve cover off and i saw that the cam was only 2 teeth from the mark i made. so what do i do next.

edit: i probably should of put this in the no turbo section, sorry. im just a ka-t wannabe

MY timing was off too when I replaced the head gasket on my car... the ONLY thing you can do is do it over...

i would also go ahead and put a 248 cam on the exhaust side too.
